The Process & What to Expect
The Initial Decisions
Gather your ideas, reference photos, etc and decide on the sizing/placement of your tattoo. It would also be helpful if you decide on the style you want your tattoo to be in, (please check out our Tattoo Styles page or our instagram to see the work we do). This makes it easier for us to quote your tattoo and find the right artist for you.
Arriving at Cherry pie
On the day of your appointment, please arrive on time. Our address can be found on the footer of this page. When you do arrive, you will be asked to scan a QR code in order to complete your consent form. You may be sent this QR code in advance. Please fill this out and ensure you have read everything carefully.
FInishing Up
Once the tattoo is complete, you will have an opportunity to check it in the mirror. The tattoo will then be wrapped, we recommend keeping this on for at least one hour after your appointment, however please check with your artist as this is subject to change from tattoo to tattoo due to size, colour, placement, etc. You will then be taken back to reception, where you will pay (and possibly tip) your artist.
Booking In
Once you have gathered all the information from the previous section, please drop us a message to get booked in. If you have a specific artist in mind, please see their profile to confirm the way they book. To secure your appointment we do ask for a deposit (the amount varys depending on the tattoo), this will count towards your overall payment which will be taken at the end of your session.
Meeting your Artist
Your artist will greet you in the reception area and show you your design (typically, you will not see your drawn-up design until your appointment). Your artist will then discuss sizing, and placement and ask if you would like to make any last-minute amendments to the design. Your artist will then prepare your stencil. This will typically take around 10 minutes. While you wait, you may want to get changed into more tattoo appropriate clothing for your appointment. The toilet is located downstairs to your right.
Aftercare

Preparing for your Appoinment
You will be required to bring valid ID with you. We recommend that you wear/bring appropriate clothing which gives easy access to the area you are getting tattooed. For example, a string bikini top for the sternum, shorts for the legs, backless tops for the back, etc. Wear something you feel comfortable in, however, do not wear your Sunday best as there is a possibility ink could get onto you.
The Appointment
Once your artist is ready to get started, they will come and collect you from reception to their station. The area that is to be tattooed will generally be cleaned, shaved, and the stencil will be placed once the placement has been agreed upon and approved by you. The tattoo will then commence. You may need to move positions throughout the tattoo to allow access to certain areas.
Touch Ups
Your tattoo may need a touch up after a few weeks of healing. This is very normal, especially for small and fine line tattoos. We offer a free touch up service, valid for 3 months after your inital tattoo. Typically the same artist that did your tattoo will do your touch up.
